Couch Potato

Things have been quite boring over here. I find myself perusing the web because of it. I woke up with a really sore throat on Tuesday and things got worse from there. So, I finally saw the doc yesterday and it seems that I have the beginning of a sinus infection. I also have been feeling fatigued and achy, so I have been resting on the couch being a couch potato. I think Spunky feels my pain…

That is what she has been doing all day…lol.

My friend Megan and Trish were telling me about Kombucha and I looked into it and it has a bunch of good stuff! *See below link about Kombucha.

I decided since I was sick to try it. I am a fan! I was told to try the one that has a rainbow label. It tastes like lemonade…so good!

Road Trip Finale

The road trip was long but fun. We made it to Novato safe and have been looking for houses for the past few days. No luck at this time. I can’t wait to be able to settle in somewhere and be able to call it home. Here is a lil recap from the road trip…

We went on the tramway on the mountains in El Paso…

We ate at Chico’s Tacos. If you ever go to El Paso, this is a place you have to try, it is a tradition there.

We tried a Chinese restaurant called “China Palace". It had great reviews in Urbanspoon and Tripadvisor, so we went for it. It is some of the best Chinese food that I have had in a long time. The vegetables were fresh and the food was made to order. We are definitely going to make it a regular place to eat.

We went to Tar-jay and I picked this bottle of wine because of the beautiful label. The Zin turned out to be fantastic!

Today while in the midst of house hunting, we decided to take a break and eat some lunch. We went to this place called Moylan’s Brewery. I forgot to take a pic of the food, but it was great! I did take a pic of the microbrew though. I went with the Irish Style Red Ale.  It was really tasty.

Well off to spend time with the hubs… we got a long day tomorrow. Ciao!

Back From Tampa

Hey everyone!

Well it has been a while since I have posted...I am officially back from Tampa. Unfortunately, I did not have internet for most of the trip. I did however, meet some new friends, try new food, and also did some work in the process.

Here are some yummy drinks I tried while I was there...

An Arnie Palmer which is Sweet Tea vodka and some fresh lemonade....it was delish!

I also tried this Belgian White beer...it had a different kind of sweet potato taste to it. It was perfect for this time of year.

When I got back today, my husband and I decided to have lunch at this Caribbean restaurant called, "Bimini Bobs." I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We started out with some Conch fritters which were warm and chewy.

I decided to get the grilled tuna with mango salsa topping, with some okra and tomatoes, and their special coconut rice with their seasoned black beans. It was so good but I could not finish it all...
