My Sister's Weightloss Story

Hey everyone! Hope your weekend is good so far! Like I said on the last post , my sister has successfully lost 100 lbs. Here is her story:

People always ask me how did you do it? What are your tips? To be honest I'm not sure what to say. If you really want to lose weight you will do it. A huge help that my sister had recommended was myfitnesspal and it has helped a TON. It makes you automatically accountable for what you eat because it will tell you what you should weigh in five weeks eating and working out the way you are. I still treat myself once in awhile to what I crave so that way I will not binge eat it because I deprived myself. I eat in moderation and when I'm 75 percent full I stop eating. I do not drink soda but I do have a hearty breakfast to get my day started and a light dinner. I try to NEVER eat after six and if I do a light snack like a fiber bar or piece of fruit. I exercise at least four days a week and don't go over four days in a row without working out it's like starting all over! Running and plyometrics has helped me lose so much weight. I am currently at 100 lb weightloss and I would never go back to my previous life style. It's so nice to fit in normal ppl clothing. When I started I was a size 28 and now a 16 :)! Hopefully one day I can be in the single digits but I know if I keep doing this I can achieve anything. My weight loss journey started when my husband deployed and I was in houston for my sons first b day party. My sister made me go on a half mile walk and I was gasping for air and felt like I was dying. I decided if I ever wanted to be an active role in my sons life I had to do something about it NOW. I can now run six miles nonstop and I have really never felt better in my life. I think family support has a lot to do with it. Without them pushing ms and encouraging me I'm not sure i would have been nearly as successful. When I walked into my doctors office and weighed 280 lbs and I told her I had a longterm goal of 160 but mini goals of 20 lbs. She told me let's be realistic you will be lucky if you ever hit 200 lbs on your own. Well here I am 20 lbs from my goal and under 200 naturally. NEVER let anyone put you down and tell you that you are not capable of your dreams and goals. Most of all remember that you are doing it for yourself to have a better life. Dont expect to workout one day and be your ideal weight. Instead of stepping on the scale and saying crap I only lost 0.2 of a lb for that hard workout celebrate because you are that much more closer to where you would like to be. Remember that the 0.2 that you lost will eventually be a lb and then 20 lb and then more. Weightloss takes time just like it took time to put it on. Never give up you can always do it!

  1. Hi! I'm stopping by from our link up for the Ultimate Blog Swap. I thought I'd check out your blog and get a feel for what you write about. This is going to fun!

What an inspiring story!! I lost 15 pounds last summer by eating healthy and exercising. The school year knocked exercise right out of my schedule but thankfully I didn't put on any pounds. Just watched my muscles turn to mush again. Starting this week I'm back on track and exercised for the first time today. It was tough but not nearly as hard as last year.
